Spine points at 31 March 2018
This document allows people to see what their spine point was at 31 March 2018, by looking at what their pay was at that point in time.
This document is designed to help when using the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service online pay tool.
For staff who were in post on or before the 31 March 2018, the tool asks for the spine point. This is so it can correctly identify the pay journey. This document allows people to see what their spine point was at 31 March 2018, by looking at what their pay was at that point in time.
If individuals do not have access to their pay slip from March 2018, or cannot remember what their basic pay was at that time, they should contact their employer for assistance.
Staff employed on or after 1 April 2018 do not need to know any spine point information to use the tool.
