NHS Employers responds to the new consultant offer

Responding to the government and unions representing consultant doctors in England reaching an agreement to put a revised offer to union members, Danny Mortimer, chief executive of NHS Employers (part of the NHS Confederation) said:

"Medical trade union colleagues and the Secretary of State are to be congratulated for their willingness to find a creative solution to the consultant contract offer that was narrowly rejected by consultants in the English NHS. Hopefully those affected will respond positively to this revised proposal.”
