The Career Transition Partnership
One of the five core pledges you are asked to commit to when pledging to Step into Health is to build a relationship with the Career Transition Partnership.
What is the Career Transition Partnership
The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is the official provider of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) resettlement services for those leaving the Armed Forces.
The CTP supports service leavers in their transition from military to civilian life through a range of career and employment support services including workshops, one-to-one guidance and job seeking assistance. Over 14,000 individuals leave the Armed Forces every year and all of them are eligible for support from the CTP.
The level of support offered is dependent on the length of time served in the UK Armed Forces but could be from up to two years before they leave the services and for up to two years after their discharge date.
Registering with the CTP
The first step to building a relationship with the CTP is to register your organisation.
One you have done this, your regional lead will contact you.
Employment fairs
CTP employment fairs take place across the UK and attract service leavers at all stages of the resettlement process. They are a great way to network with potential candidates and showcase your roles and vacancies.
If you are interested in taking part in a CTP employment fair please register your interest at CTPEvents@ctp.org.uk.
You can also check the Step into Health events section for dates and locations of upcoming CTP employment fairs. If you would like to attend a fair please let the Step into Health team know, as support is often available. Collaboration with Step into Health or other organisations within your system is encouraged to reduce cost and increase impact.
Hear from the Career Transition Partnership
At the 2024 Armed Forces conference, Group Captain Daren Moss, head through life development at the MoD, explained how CTP can assist you in your recruitment from this community, and support a successful transition for Armed Forces personnel.
