Update on the employment rights bill passage through parliament

On 4 March 2025 the government announced various amendments to the employment rights bill, including the four consultations that NHS Employers responded to on behalf of employers.

- Collective redundancy and fire and rehire consultation
- Strengthening statutory sick pay for low paid workers

This package represents the first phase of formal public consultations on how best to put the government's plans into practice. They will continue to go through the various parliamentary processes.
