NHS employment checks standards and e-learning resource updated
We have updated our employment check standards, which support employers to practically consider and implement the six pre-employment checks mandated by the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) for all appointments to the NHS.
The standards are subject to regular review to ensure they reflect changes to legal and regulatory requirements. In line with this we have recently made some amendments that employers should have awareness of. To see specific details, a summary of updates can be found at the end of each standards page on our website.
The corresponding e-learning resource, which has been designed to help employers with their understanding of the standards, has also been updated with relevant guidance. However, those individuals who have already completed the modules will not need to revisit them. Please refer to the summary updates within each standard to familiarise yourself with any changes.
