Agenda for Change mileage reimbursement rates review- November 2023
In accordance with the process set out in the NHS TCS Handbook, the November 2023 review of mileage reimbursement rates has been undertaken.
Section 17 and annex 12 of the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service (TCS) Handbook set out the reimbursement rates for employees who use their personal vehicle to carry out their work duties.
In accordance with the process set out in the handbook, mileage reimbursement rates are reviewed twice a year in April and November to allow the latest costs of fuel to be incorporated into the calculation.
The November 2023 rates have now been reviewed and the change did not meet the 5 per cent threshold that triggers a change, so there is no further update to the mileage rates at this time.
The next review will be undertaken in April 2024.
