Improving race equality in the NHS infographic
The statistics in this infographic are taken from the 2020 Workforce Race Equality Standard report and provide an overview of the report findings, including improvements and some of the challenges still experienced by NHS staff. Also included are key actions for organisations and individuals to help improve experiences for black and ethnic minority (BME) staff.

All NHS organisations are required to demonstrate how they are addressing race equality issues in a range of staffing areas through the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES).
