T Level industry placements in 'at risk' allied health professions webinar
Gatsby Charitable Foundation is hosting a webinar on Wednesday 20th November from 1:00pm - 1:30pm for those involved in, or interested in, offering T Level industry placements in their organisation. This session will be focused on industry placements in allied health professions.
In this webinar, we will hear from Andrea Plimmer, assistant director of health and social care at Bury College, who will be presenting key findings from a recent project exploring how industry placement models can be mapped to 'at risk' AHP professions. This includes routes to diagnostic radiography, therapeutic radiography, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, and podiatry.
Andrea's presentation will include case studies, tips for employers and discussions on how entry requirements and job descriptions can be tailored to better support progression to employment, apprenticeships and degree routes to AHP professions. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunities to ask questions.
This is offered as part of the Department for Education & Gatsby Foundation ICS Industry Placement Network, supported by NHS Employers. This is a space to learn from peers actively engaged in this field. Members can expect practical support, new research, up-to-date policy insights, and a platform for meaningful dialogue.
