New allied health professional preceptorship standards and framework
NHS England has launched new allied health professional (AHP) preceptorship standards and framework to ensure clarity and offer best practice.
Throughout their careers, AHPs benefit from the mentorship of more experienced colleagues. At the same time, they can develop their careers by supporting newer colleagues. The new standards and framework are designed to support AHPs through these key moments of career transitions and should give clarity on best practice.
The resources align with the newly published Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) principles for preceptorship, available on the HCPC website.
