It is important to consider not all T Level students will wish to join the workforce after completing their studies. However, for those that do, the T Level could become a natural entry point to being a healthcare support worker, or perhaps start on a trainee nursing associate apprenticeship.
We recommend letting students know how their T Level could start a career in your organisation. Ensuring that, even if they go on to higher education, they are encouraged to apply for part-time roles or to join the bank whilst studying and suggest they consider roles in the organisation after finishing their studies. A student who has had a positive placement experience is more likely to consider your organisation for later employment.
Whilst on placement, students would benefit greatly from exposure to a number of different roles in the organisation which may inspire them to consider a different avenue, and perhaps stay in health and care. This could be done through exploring rotational placements, where they visit other areas, or to have career days which could be part of the 35 hours work taster activities.
