Workforce supply events


Throughout 2015 and 2016, NHS Employers held a series of events to provide the HR community with a forum to discuss practical ways of managing the workforce supply challenge.


NHS workforce supply has been placed in the spotlight. Local and national skills shortages, and additional pressure from new safer staffing regimes, have given rise to supply gaps in parts of the workforce which we know many organisations are facing.

It can be difficult to balance workforce supply and demand, requiring solutions at a local, regional and national level. Some organisations use solutions that address these issues in the short term, while others look to the longer term.

The workforce is the greatest asset of the NHS and its biggest investment. Our series of six events aimed to delegates the space to think about how to attract, recruit, deploy and retain your staff to manage the supply challenge.
