The national NHS Staff Council has overall responsibility for the Agenda for Change pay system and has representatives from both employers and trade unions.

Representing employers

The chair for the employer side of the NHS Staff Council is currently vacant. The chair is supported by senior representatives from a range of NHS organisations which are outlined below and NHS Employers.

Membership

The NHS Staff Council and its executive committee are partnership groups, made up of employer representatives, nationally recognised trade unions, and NHS Employers.

The Scottish Government, Health and Community Care, Welsh Assembly Government and The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (Northern Ireland) are also represented.
