New healthcare apprenticeship standards launched

Hospital staff

Three new apprenticeship standards have been launched for healthcare support workers, senior healthcare support workers and assistant practitioners.

Trailblazer groups, made up of employers and facilitated by Skills for Health and Health Education England, have been working over the last two years to design and develop the content of these new standards and their associated assessment plans.

Employers involved in the trailblazers ran a series of events throughout National Apprenticeship Week 2017 to raise awareness of these new apprenticeship standards. A promotional poster and flyer are available to download and distribute locally.

More information about the new apprenticeship standards can be found on the Skills for Health website.

You can see the full list of standards and assessments currently available, and in development, on the standards and assessments web page.
