World AIDS day, on 1 December, is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
While advances in medicine have enabled people with HIV to have a better quality of life, attitudes have yet to change. The National AIDS Trust (NAT) is working to eliminate the stigma around HIV with its 2016 campaign #HIVNotRetro. The campaign's aim is to challenge people to rethink outdated stereotypes, challenge myths and be positive about HIV.
To find out more, read the blog from NAT which gives a great insight into the campaign and view helpful resources and information for organisations to support people living and working with HIV. NAT also has a number of e learning resources for the health care sector.
