From 28 November we ran a focus on reservists week campaign, which looked at how supporting reservists can positively impact on key NHS strategic priorities.
Each day there was a new focus, including a look at managers, leadership, recruitment, retention and partnership. To help explain how reservists in your workforce can benefit your organisation we released new resources and materials throughout the week, these included:
Monday 28 November - Focus on managers
- Read our guide to employing reservists in the NHS which provides an introduction to reservists. Created in partnership with Health Education England, the guide will give you an understanding of what a reservists is, what their commitments are, how they benefit your organisation and what support is available to your trust.
Tuesday 29 November - Focus on leadership
- Our focus on leadership webinar took place which looked at who plays an important role in supporting reservists, the military approach to leadership and how the NHS can learn and benefit from their experiences and military training.
Wednesday 30 November - Focus on recruitment
Thursday 1 December - Focus on retention
- Use our going for gold guide to help your trust become a Defence Employers Recognition Scheme gold award holder. The scheme aims to recognise the support that organisations give to defence and the Armed Forces community.
