New whistleblowing code of practice for employers and guidance for prescribed persons


On 24 March 2015, the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) published their new Code of Practice on whistleblowing for employers.

The Code is intended to provide additional support and guidance for employers to help them understand the law relating to whistleblowing, highlighting key considerations when devising and developing local whistleblowing policies, and the benefits of encouraging staff to raise (whistleblowing) concerns.
