The 2015 NHS Employers Workforce Summit, exclusively for HR colleagues woring across the NHS, takes place next week at ACC Liverpool on Wednesday 3 June.
The programme, developed following feedback from regional HR networks, will help colleagues address key strategic and operational challenges facing HR in the NHS and shape future thinking and national approaches.
This year, the Summit programme will run within the wider NHS Confederation annual conference and exhibition, providing protected space for HR colleagues to come together as well as benefit from all the wider conference programme and activities.
For delegates planning to arrive in Liverpool on the Tuesday evening, a complimentary networking reception for all Summit delegates will offer a great chance to meet and catch up with peers before the start of the event.
Workforce Summit programme
Ian Cumming, Chief Executive of Health Education England and Charlie Massey, Director General of Strategy and External Relations at the Department of Health, will be joining delegates for a Chatham House discussion on the strategic workforce priorities resulting from the Five Year Forward View.
We know many HRDs have expressed concerns on this issue so it will be an excellent opportunity for delegates to discuss this directly with key national figures and to influence future thinking in this area.
Other programme highlights include:
- Keynote address from Simon Stevens, Chief Executive, NHS England on future plans and priorities for the NHS
- Main stage panel sessions including Developing your future workforce – preparing today’s staff for tomorrow’s challenges
- Breakout session on Transforming organisational performance focusing on the links between organisational culture, staff engagement and quality of patient care.
