This webinar, in partnership with Capsticks, provided a strategic update on trends and hot topics in governance following recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections, changes to the CQC and fit and proper person test (FPPT) frameworks and emergent issues, including the Letby/Thirlwall inquiry.

2024 will represent a year of considerable change in CQC regulation as we move to a new inspection framework. Key lines of enquiry (KLOEs) are to be replaced in a major shake up of how the CQC assesses quality.

Who should attend

This webinar was for provider HR directors and chief people officers (CPOs) and integrated care board (ICB) CPOs.

Why you should attend

This session:

  • demystified the new inspection framework and reflected on recent inspection reports and the question of ‘well-led’ in particular; drawing out lessons and hot topics from recent CQC inspection and enforcement activity
  • considered the impact of the new FPPT framework including changes to the information which must be recorded about board members and the board member reference
  • looked ahead at changes still to come as a result of inquiries such as the Letby/Thirlwall inquiry.
