The Midlands and East engagement team cover the geographical area from Herefordshire and Shropshire in the west, to Norfolk and Suffolk on the east coast, and Derbyshire and Leicestershire in the Midlands.
We aim to be the recognised voice of the NHS HR community in the region, and to support workforce leaders in the Midlands and East to deliver better HR leading to a better patient experience.
HR director networks
There are three HR director networks in this region, and we encourage all HR and workforce leaders in the NHS to attend our regular meetings in order to share best practice and tackle strategic workforce issues affecting employers.
- East of England HR Directors Network - chaired by Jan Bloomfield, Executive Director of Workforce and Communications, West Suffolk Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and co-chaired by Liz Cooke, Head of HR, Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust
- East Midlands HR Directors Network - chaired by Amanda Rawlings, Director of People and Organisational Effectiveness, Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust and Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and co-chaired by Nicky Hill, Director of HR, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
- West Midlands HR Directors Network - chaired by Roger Smith, Director of Human Resources, Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and co-chaired by Victoria Maher, Workforce Director, Shrewsbury & Telford Hospitals NHS Trust
